An article by Joan Roca, Joaquim Matinero and Jorge Rodríguez.
"A solid legal framework for the regulation of crypto-assets has arrived".
Since the emergence of cryptoassets in 2008, there has been a legal vacuum. Now, the European Union (EU) has decided to take action and has attempted to regulate cryptoassets with the help of the European Banking Authority (EBA) and the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA), proposing a draft that will be the standard that regulates them in a harmonised way in the member states: the MiCA (Market in Crypto Assets) Regulation.
Joan Roca, Joaquim Matinero and Jorge Rodríguez reflect on this issue in an article in Economist & Jurist.
