Securitize enters the Spanish Sandbox
US fintech Securitize has entered the Spanish regulatory sandbox with plans to offer blockchain-based share issuance and trading services.
Securitize is one of three projects that have entered the third Sandbox call. When it emerges from the sandbox, Securitize expects to be the only company to tokenise and facilitate the trading of tokenised securities operating in both the United States and Europe.
Xavier Foz, Quim Matinero and Marina Zarza have advised on the regulatory process and the pilot project application, and Beatriz Rodríguez and Celia Príncipe have advised on data protection issues.
Securitize is a digital asset-backed securities firm with a mission to provide shareholders with access to investment and trading of alternative investments, and companies with access to capital raising, shareholder management and potential liquidity supply. In addition, Securitize is the US leader in using blockchain to tokenise financial products and expand access to private market investments.
