Zurich Insurance Company acquire five office buildings in Madrid
Zurich Insurance Company has been advised by our tax team on its acquisition of five buildings in Madrid to BLACKSTONE Company Hispania totalling 35,000 square meters of office space. (Edificio Torre 30, Edificio Mizar, Edificio Pechuan, CA5 y Torre Oasia).
Our department advised the client on the tax aspects of the transaction itself searching the optimisation of its cost, as well as on the tax aspects of its financing. The deal value is EUR 163.5m.
It involved the review and opinion on the equity/debt decision taking into account the different jurisdictions involved (Luxembourg, Switzerland, Spain) as well as coordinating with internal tax lawyers in Spain and Switzerland and with Luxembourg tax advisors of the Client.
