A Supreme Court ruling that could overturn part of Spain's arms regulations

The Supreme Court has partially annulled Royal Decree 726/2020, of 4 August, amending the Weapons Regulations. The contentious-administrative appeal filed on behalf of the Asociación Nacional del Arma (ANARMA), under the advice of our partner Manuel Silva, has achieved that the Supreme Court has annulled the Third Final Provision of the Royal Decree, considering that the delegation of regulatory power by the Government to the Ministry of Interior to regulate the regime of use and prohibition of new devices contravenes the Organic Law on Citizen Security.
