Barcelona, 19 December 2023. RocaJunyent and the law firms of the BMyV Abogados Group (Gaona, Palacios y Rozados, IparBilbao, Sanz Lomana-Puras, Hernando Lara Abogados, SGS Abogados and Riutord Advocats) have formalised the strategic alliance they entered into in 2019 with the aim of expanding their presence and services in Spain and consolidating the business project under the same brand. The agreement contemplates the creation of the RocaJunyent Group, a company chaired by Joan Roca Sagarra -also executive chairman of RocaJunyent-, which brings together the law firms under the same brand in Spain, with a turnover of more than 38.5 million euros by the end of 2022.
The agreement raises the commitment between the firms, which in the RocaJunyent Group share a corporate project through a joint company in which all the firms participate, with RocaJunyent as the controlling partner. The board of the RocaJunyent Group is made up of 7 members, 3 of whom are contributed by RocaJunyent. They are Manuel Camas (Gaona Palacios y Rozados), Carlos Ais (IparBilbao), Secretary of the Board, Luis Vicente Puras (Sanz Lomana Puras & Asociados) and Silvia Giménez Salinas (SGS). RocaJunyent will be represented by Joan Roca, also president of the RocaJunyent Group, Josep Pujolràs and Natalia Martí.
This operation consolidates the good harmony shown between the firms since the beginning of their alliance in 2019, and represents a step forward in RocaJunyent's national growth strategy, which, under a single brand, will offer services in Andalusia (Malaga and Seville), the Basque Country (Bilbao), Castilla y León (Burgos and Valladolid), Extremadura (Badajoz) and the Balearic Islands (Riutord), as well as in Madrid and Catalonia.
The firms associated with RocaJunyent have 50 professionals and 23 partners. The RocaJunyent Group has a total of 320 professionals, of which 250 are lawyers, and 65 partners.
In the words of Joan Roca, president of the RocaJunyent Group, "we are very satisfied with the agreement, which allows us to gain capillarity in Spain to serve clients throughout the Group with a better tie and offer of services in all the places where we have offices, which also benefits the momentum that RocaJunyent is having in Madrid".
For his part, Manuel Camas, president of RocaJunyent Gaona Palacios y Rozados, said that "it is a source of pride for the law firms associated with RocaJunyent to join forces with a prestigious firm such as RocaJunyent and to continue consolidating the alliance that we forged in 2019".
It should be noted that the partners of the BMyV firms are or have been deans of the bar associations of their respective provinces, such as Pablo Luis Hernando Lara (Hernando Lara Abogados) was Dean of the Burgos Bar Association; Carlos Fuentenebro Zabala (IparBilbao Abogados) was Dean of the Biscay Bar Association; Nazario Oleaga (IparBilbao Abogados) was Dean of the same Bar Association between 2003 and 2013; Silvia Giménez-Salinas (SGS Abogados) is Dean Emeritus of the Barcelona Bar Association; Manuel Camas Jimena (Gaona Abogados) is Dean Emeritus of the Malaga Bar Association; and Enrique Sanz Fernández-Lomana (Sanz-Lomana Puras y Asociados) was Dean of the Valladolid Bar Association.
