RocaJunyent implements Leya AI platform to boost innovation and efficiency

15/11/2024

The firm's new Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) tool guarantees the highest standards of confidentiality and security for clients, a point that has been the firm's top priority in the selection process.

The adoption of this specific Artificial Intelligence tool for the legal sector seeks to improve internal processes, but in no way replaces the criteria and experience of the firm's professionals.

Barcelona, 15 November 2024. RocaJunyent continues its commitment to innovation, in this case with the adoption of the Generative AI tool, Leya, in line with the roadmap set out in the firm's Strategic Plan. Leya is a platform driven by artificial intelligence that enables the processing of large volumes of data.

The adoption of Leya represents an important step for RocaJunyent. It aims to provide its professionals with cutting-edge technological tools that allow them to focus on providing value-added advice to clients. Leya uses multi-level and artificial intelligence technologies to deliver accurate, high-value results, integrating with document management systems to ensure the confidentiality and security of information, both internally and externally to the organisation.

Joan Roca, executive chairman of RocaJunyent, highlights the objectives of the firm's adoption of AI, with clients always at the centre of decision-making: "Generative artificial intelligence has already begun the transformation of the legal sector. At RocaJunyent we are very aware of the need to continue advancing in order to offer the best service to our clients, in the most efficient way, and always with the top priority of ensuring the security and confidentiality of our services’. The firm's chief executive further notes that ‘the adoption of Leya helps us to create more agile processes by automating tasks, but in no way does AI replace the experience, knowledge and expert judgement of our professionals in advising our clients.

On Leya, lawyers can review contracts in depth to perform risk analysis, generate first drafts, compare contracts with models, extract information from hundreds of documents, and perform other essential tasks. The platform works by fusing state-of-the-art natural language processing technology with advanced data retrieval systems to provide accurate and context-appropriate responses.

More than 120 national and international firms use Leya as an additional tool for the development of their legal services. After exhaustive testing of the different tools available on the market, RocaJunyent's Innovation Committee has opted for this solution, which has already begun to be deployed among the firm's professionals.
