RocaJunyent has advised on the investment round of ENERGIOT DEVICES, S.L. to KIC InnoEnergy SE, in which the Spanish fund Axon and the Italian fund CoreAngels Climate have also participated.

Energiot, the Spanish startup dedicated to the development of Internet of Things ("IoT") devices through smart grid management, was born as a spin-off of the Institute of Microelectronics of Barcelona.

The investors' interest comes in response to future expectations of a significant increase in electricity demand, which will require a tripling of current grid connections.

The transaction has been led by the team specialised in impact investments, composed of Fede Segura and Sergio Giménez, partner and associate of M&A and Mercantil.
