RocaJunyent incorporates Oriol Valentí as a partner to promote the Arbitration and Mediation area

Barcelona, 2 March 2023. RocaJunyent has appointed Oriol Valentí as a new partner in the Litigation Department in Barcelona to drive the growth of the national and international arbitration and mediation services, as well as to reinforce the litigation team led by Gonzalo Serrano.

Oriol Valentí is an expert in domestic and international arbitration. He participates in arbitration proceedings before the ICC, ICSID, CAM, CIMA, TAB and ad hoc proceedings, and is an expert in cases involving multiple jurisdictions and procedural rules. He also has extensive experience in advising on complex international litigation, commercial and contractual disputes, disputes arising from sales and acquisitions, corporate law and directors’ liability.

The new partner has practised as a dispute resolution lawyer in Barcelona, Madrid, Sao Paulo and London at WilmerHale and Cuatrecasas. Valentí is admitted to practice law in Spain and in the State of New York and is a member of various professional associations such as the Spanish Arbitration Club (of which he was coordinator of the -40 Section in the 2021-2022 biennium) and the International Bar Association.

He holds a Degree in Law and Business Administration from the Pompeu Fabra University (UPF), a Diploma in Legal Studies from the Oxford University and an LLM from the Harvard Law School. The new partner has written numerous articles on alternative dispute resolution and is also very active in the academic field. Among others, he is a lecturer in Alternative Dispute Resolution at UPF and International Arbitration at ISDE.
