“Whistleblower” Law: Aspects of interest in the private sector from a labour and data protection perspective

On 13 March 2023, Law 2/2023, regulating the protection of persons reporting regulatory and anti-corruption violations, enters into force.
The aforementioned Law transposes Directive (EU) 2019/1937, of 23 October 2019, on the protection of persons reporting infringements of the Union Law, known as the ‘Whistleblowing Directive’.
This information alert addresses aspects of interest in the private sector from a labour and data protection perspective, and complements the one prepared and published by our Labour department on February 21, 2023.
