Meridia Capital and glamping operator create joint venture

Overview

We have advised Meridia Capital, a Spain-based private equity firm, in the creation of the joint venture WeCamp with a glamping operator.

The financial details of the transaction were not disclosed.  WeCamp is a platform to develop a program of eco-friendly campsites in Spain and Portugal. Meridia Capital holds a 25% stake, as the owner of the facilities, while WeCamp will be in charge of the operational management. Albert Montesinos will be the CEO of WeCamp.
