Barcelona, 21 January 2025. The Board of Directors of RocaJunyent has approved the appointment of four new partners. They are Pilar Baltar, Juan Cuenca, Carlos Cabeza de Vaca and Isaac Arroyo, who will strengthen the areas of Labour, Compliance, M&A and Urban Planning.

Juan Cuenca is a partner in the Corporate department in Barcelona. He will lead the development of the Compliance area, bringing his experience to consolidate the firm's position. Juan has extensive experience in providing legal advice to companies, both national and multinational, in structural modification operations, sale and purchase of companies, joint ventures, corporate restructurings and commercial agreements. In the area of corporate compliance, she advises companies on the adoption of good corporate governance measures and the implementation of legal compliance management systems.

Pilar Baltar is a partner in the labour and employment department in Barcelona. She will focus on driving international matters and expanding the client portfolio in the public sector. For the past 15 years, Pilar has been advising private and public sector companies, both national and international, on personnel management and legal defence in labour disputes. She is a specialist in transnational operations and labour compliance, and regularly collaborates with universities and business schools, such as ESADE and the Abat Oliba CEU University.

In June 2024, RocaJunyent strengthened its position in the legal market with the acquisition of DJV, a firm renowned for its expertise in urban planning, procedural and commercial law. Carlos Cabeza de Vaca and Isaac Arroyo, who now join as partners, come from DJV, bringing their experience and expertise to RocaJunyent. This integration not only broadens the firm's range of services, but also reinforces its commitment to excellence and innovation in legal advice. The incorporation of these professionals underlines RocaJunyent's strategy of integrating high-level talent to consolidate its leadership in the sector.

Isaac Arroyo, an expert in urban planning, joins RocaJunyent to lead the firm's expansion in this area. He currently advises on urban planning matters, contentious-administrative proceedings, administrative proceedings, licences, advice to Compensation Boards, drafting of reports, real estate agreements, urban management, urban planning discipline, and advice on environmental and renewable energy matters, including photovoltaic plants and wind farms.

Carlos Cabeza de Vaca, a specialist in mid-market M&A, will strengthen this area from Madrid, consolidating the firm's presence in this market. His experience covers the different areas of business law, mainly commercial law. He advises companies in the technology, real estate and consumer sectors on M&A transactions and financial restructuring. He is the secretary of the governing bodies of various companies and foundations. In addition, he coordinates the activity of foreign law firms in international matters affecting companies with transnational interests.

These decisions reflect RocaJunyent's commitment to the promotion and search for internal talent and excellence.
