Biography and experience
He has extensive experience in providing legal advice to both domestic and multinational companies on corporate restructuring transactions; he is also noted for his involvement in company acquisitions, joint ventures, corporate restructurings and all types of commercial contracts.
In the area of corporate compliance, he advises companies on the adoption of good corporate governance measures. All of this takes place within the framework of implementing legal compliance management systems (i.e. Codes of Ethics, Whistleblowing Channels, internal protocols and policies, etc.).
Juan is the partner in charge of the Compliance Department. He has a solid specialised background endorsed by the sector’s leading associations, notably holding compliance certifications from CESCOM (Spanish Compliance Association) and the Internationally Certified Compliance Professional (IFCA), and is a Certified Compliance Expert through ASCOM.
He holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Compliance from Pompeu Fabra University; a Postgraduate Diploma in Business Law from the Open University of Catalonia; a Postgraduate Diploma in International Relations from the University of Barcelona, and a Master’s Degree in International Business Law from ESADE.
Juan speaks English, French, Spanish and Catalan.
